Sammy Jo Mills is a wife, mother of three and works part time as a nurse at the hospital. Sammy Jo shares how she grew up in a Catholic environment but was shy about asking questions. She prefers quiet one-on-one time with God over round table talk about him in groups of people.
In high school she admits to being a heavy partier, but by college she realized she needed to slow down if for no other reason than to pass nursing school. She began to encounter Jesus in the quiet of holy hours which she attended with her mother. The low light and the quiet helped her to feel the true presence of Jesus displayed in the monstrance.
